Spoon.
What is the biggest wave you've seen a spoon on? I'm willing to bet it is not very big. It would be like trying to paipo board Waimea. Only the select few. Just from my observations there is a limit on how far up the fins on a long (6feet+) kneeboard need to be placed, making long kneeboards a viable solution. We are not stand up wannabees! It is more likely that toe-dependent standups are kneeboard wannabees and just don't know it. We go faster and get way more tubes.

False deck.
Would you be able to explain the false deck further, I'm unfamiliar with it. Sounds interesting.

Any chance you have a photo, or know where I can go to look at one?

Soul...
Flexman,
This website is for kneeboarders - past, present and future. As Steen said when asked what it takes to be a kneeboarder... "A big heart and good sense of humor". From what I've seen posted, you definetly qualify.
Your contributions are appreciated and welcome. Now if we can just get GG to sign up and post a few articles...
I had a Greenough sighting on my last visit to Aus in '02. David Parkes and I were suiting up at Broken Head and GG pulled up to give it a look. Closest I've come to actually meeting him.
Anyway, keep'em comin'.
Cheers
