The fascinating thing was this guy had no fins and *always* stood up. Of the 15 or so waves I saw him get, he never wiped out and finished with the waves when he wanted to finish. He was flawless...and by the time I started to see him inching up towards the nose to gain more speed, I was seeing something I've never seen before, and, may never again, unless it's the same rider. I really think it was a pro surfer who does this in the winter here, for training. Had a hood on. Wished I had a Bolex - we had fabulous offshores that morning, too... Birdie
