Good info. Thanks
I'm partial to duck feet over Vipers, cuz they fit me better (and as Cove said, costs less).

Personally I can`t get my head around all this reinventing the wheel kind of business with surf fins.Perhaps I`m slack or just less fussy but I figure you either have the right fins with regards to comfort and power or you don`t.Maybe it`s different here in Oz, but when you walk into a surf shop ,thanks to the lid population we have a huge selection to choose from. All be it you have to sift through all the unnecessary features such as ribs and grooves and channels which may assist with lid riding and bodysurfing but of what use are they when they`re out of the water. My view is I want something that assists me in picking waves then tucks in neatly so as to reduce drag, not to mention help me scratch to the surface on those desperate days.Which brings me to my choice,PODS,everything Churchills hoped to be without the frills, compact ultra comfy and a drain hole you can just about shove a dolphin through.Check out there web sight, fully rate them.

Duck Feet , more thrust for you buck? I used Duck Feet for years. I tried Churchills, the Extra Stiff Duck Feet and a couple others available but always returned to standard DF. I widdled several different shapes and sizes and one thing held true no matter what. Duck Feet use to chew my feet up! I had the narliest surfknots on my feet and toes and the blisters were always fun. I used to try gluing wetsuit materials inside the foot pocket but still my knots grew. Most of the time the stuff I glued inside would work loose and do more damage than good. When Vipers first hit the seen they were a little less abusive to my piggies and had more thrust than Duck Feet. I believe they were the first to pad the pocket with neopreme that actually stayed in place. Now its fin socks or Oneil Ninja Booties for protection and long blade Vipers that push my big ass around in the water. Please continue the poorman experimentation with $10 Duck Feet. You will surely develop a fin that works great for you and possibly a new trend in flippers. I will be there to lay down the cash when the new Beach Cove brand Super Thrust Swimfins are on the market. Until then my dollars will be spent on Vipers. :D

Sensitive feet? Well save your $60 bucks on Vipers, wetsuit material and glue -- just buy some $13 fin socks http://www.wavejammer.com/surf/bodybrds/bbrd16.htm
