great post!!..been reading up on these at swaylocks and wnat to try it in the future.....i hear the balsa railed boards soak up water badly when dinged...but i saw blanks at the ASR that were eps core/ parabolic wood stringers with urethane rails....probably go that route...

Dave is right....
The board does flex in a different way than a standard 1 stringer board. Once you get the hang of it, its amazing.
Shawn Ambrose has been shaping Kneeboards for many years, but stays under the radar. There is a small crew who rides them and when Clark foam went under, Shawn started making his own blanks out of styro and started playing with the parabolic ideas. He made a few dozen foot boards, and then made his 1st parabolic kneeboard for me in june of 2006. I rode it for the 1st time in Indo and just loved it.
Wino does have his 2nd one, and it looks amazing. I haven't had a chance to ask how it is, but i'm sure he has no complaints..
