Makes me think of a whole different kind of "Tropical Thunder" (name of movie ben stiller is shooting right now on Kauai).

HURRICANE FLOSSIE. AS THESE WAVES APPROACH THE SOUTHEAST COAST OF
THE BIG ISLAND...SURF OF 20 TO 25 FEET WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT

A good friend is flying out of Kauai later today. Hope its not too bumpy.
He has a series of gigs up and down the west coast starting tomorrow and it wouldn't be too good if they held the airlines on the ground. But safety first.

Surfhorn: Should be ok, its staying south of Big Island so far, the surf is getting BIG down there

People worry it will turn north if a low pressure builds in the north(NW) of the island chain. We are getting ready even here just to be sure.

Sorry your friend didnt get much surf while they were here, its been real small for quite a while. You can blame me.
