Great shot.
Best shots and best surfers always have their rear end off their heels.
Doesn't matter if you surf low or upright, sitting on ones heels kills the liveliness in a board.
I have had the pleasure of watching Bill Lerner coming at me in a tube and he was off his heels and the board was so light and fast, climbing and falling in the tube.
A pleasure to watch.
All the Aussie photos and videos show the same thing.
Kneelos that are fun to watch never sit on their heels.
Could be wrong but it sure seems that way.

makes reaction time slower, if I'm sitting on my heels, l noticed. Board less responsive. I ride a fins forward board. I find that it I kneel further back it allows me to lean forward and I can turn my torso more and extend more when turning/driving. If I kneel further forward I tend to sit on my heals and it sort of limits how far I can turn my torso and extend my body off the board.
"On a fins forward board if you kneel further back it allows you to get off your heels and lean forward and surf more dynamic." Said I
I'm still learning (3yrs+) and I may be wrong. Or what works for me may not work for others
