great opportunity you are offering someone.a massive step in a positive direction .
i've always thought that sponsorship is about exposure and i reckon a good kneeboard surfer can draw loads of attention,so i hope who ever you choose can do the right thing by you .
the world needs to see kneeboarders doing ridiculous things in ridiculous waves.
one question though,if anyone actually talked themselves up by answering all the questions above correctly wouldnt that make them a "self inflated arrogant arse"?

As for gaining sponsers, the best thing to do is build relationships with companys you like, either with the Reps or with Corporation, and present yourself as a valuable asset. Ripping waves helps, but being a great overall ambassador for the sport of surfing, active in the community, and loyal to the brand can land you a lot of support.

at 50 years and 50 weeks and counting as of today....argh, if I was only 20 years younger, possibly even 15.... hell, three years ago i was working at a surf camp in central america. This aging gracefully nonsense is not working out....

Join the club. I'm 52 ( and 1/2!) and have had to realign my kneeboarding sights.

Ah, yes, to be in my 20s ....or 30's....or 40's........again. My best kneeboarding was during those periods. With today's modern shapes I'd give all you wankers a run for your money! LOL

But I count myself lucky to have grown up at the beginning of kneeboarding and ridden some 'interesting' boards. But I am also lucky to have been sponsored by John Mel at Freeline Design for most of my surfing career. A truly great guy.

Now if they only create an Old Farts catagory for contests.

Probably enough of us to create an entire contest venue,including a ''worlds''... Would be amuseing ya reckon?

We are all approaching that age division fairly quickly .
I think the average age of a kneeboarder here in Oz is over thirty now.
Baden won his world title last year, and he is over 43 years old!
