bat tail?

That's a quad pin skansand!

About the battail: maybe a wide battail (or quad pin) combined with channels corresponding to the pins' postions on the tail would provide a loose-manuevering but good-holding board for big surf. Who knows--probably John Mel, but I sure don't!

I had a Friar Tuck twin fin Bat Tail in the mid 80's
from memory it also had channels.
It went great no problems at all.
