hey, anybody got any feedback on the rusty c5 fin system= works/does not etc.......???[ the little side fins look kind of small] thanks for any feedback......
I ride a twinzer which is a twin fin set up with the small front fins in front of them.
For bigger surf, I add a small trailing fin.
I have a tri fin for huge surf.
I think the c 5 or twinzer set up is great for small surf or any size mushy surf. They work great in Santa Cruz at any size. For big hollow surf or chunky, hollow reef surf with power they are probably not necessary.
When I first rode mine it was way faster than my tri fins. It rode like a twin fin that never would slide out. The harder you turned the more it would hold in.
When I added the trailing fin, the only change in how the board rode was that it would gouge off the top as opposed to slide through the top turn. Everything else was the same.
If you live in California try one but use twin fin big fins instead of tri fin big fins. If you live in Hawaii you probably do not need one.
