At the contest,Just in front of the stairwell,on the other side of the railing was a board.
Clear?Wide tailed,Two channels,or more precisely, fairly long grooves that were scooped??out to the deck?

Hello K-man and others...I proped up my creation so those who had interest could get a visual or hands on. I also wanted to garner some input as to the future evolution..Would haved liked to have met you as well as many others. The current fin positions (4th change) has been the most promising...Thanks Red...but it opens up thoughts as to the other variations overall. Talking with M.O.W and feeling the flex variables on his spoons has me leaning toward epoxy applications...Thanks M.O.W....The other empass I've reached is wanting to remove the center rib in the flex panels, but not wanting to create in essence a knee catching groove on the rail I want to infill the area with a water tight foam simular to boogie board material (approx. 1-2 inches thick). That's where I'm stuck and I didn't network enough at the worlds for input in that area. So I'll throw it out here..ANY SUGESTIONS OUT THERE FOR AN INFILL?
Frank showed me his board, and I found it very interesting. You guys should see the fins. I call them Batman fins. Would be cool to try it in medium surf to start.
I am a traveller of both time and space, a weaver in and out of dreams, I see worlds seldom seen.
Frank is INTENSE. Get into a discussion with him and prepare to concentrate. As a matter of fact, most of his insights went over my head. But his board speaks for itself.
He's a craftsman by trade (a glasier) and the same pro skills go into his boards. My son broke a fin, and Frank came over with grinder, resin and cloth, and did a real nice fix right on the spot.
Thank you, man! Great to meet you. I hope your years in SC are blessed!
Thanks Guys....Don't underestimate yourself MOW...You get it!! I will be talking to you for tips on epoxy applications....Beeline, that current movement towards flex applications was what MOW forwarned quite some time ago. Surfboard teckies are now applying flex applications in many different directions. Firewire touts research into hydro-dynamics being applied in larger waves, but under those conditions what will they do with the inherent spring release if not controled? In other surfboard applications the spring is being used for enhanced acrobatics or air manuevers, and that's what MOW was shouting about...can we all imagine the air an inclined kneeboarder would achieve with our compressed center of gravity!!!!! But no, not me, that's not where I'm going with my "toy" I do want to restrict the lengthwise (rocker) change but increase the side to side flex, I want to feel if there's an advantage to a curve applied in an area at the point of engagement channeled thru a longer fin base(venturi also applied) Projection with solid engagement, limited spring. I was told I should change my style to adapt to newer boards, instead I figure I'll develop a newer board for my style......It's all just toy's......INFILL RECCOMENDATIONS ANYONE?...THANKS...Frank
