I have Lis fishes and they are very fast indeed. I have a 6'0" quad, a 5'7" 'speed' fish and a 5'6" speed fish. Mike, Stevie lives on Kauai now, so if your're on that island, you can get a quad shaped for you from "the man". He used to show up in San Diego every once and awhile, but his Dad passed away several years ago, so he dosen't come to San Diego anymore.

nice selection of lis fish! his quads are amazing, love the double-foiled fins he uses. steve's dad died in january and he's currently in san diego wrapping things up. check the local golf courses
Nacthville, have you got a deck view of those boards? They both look beautiful - and stunning tints too. I'd love to see how the glasser did the deck laps, I'm about to do a tint like the blue one but unsure about the safest way to approach the tail on the deck side.
those are production geps on the 'speed fish'--per the invoice, not sure what it means to mr. lis exactly. the board is a friend's, the blue quad is mine. i posted the foto after seeing a pic of my other two boards (6'0" w/geps, 6'7" quad) in the album section: album_picm.php?pic_id=5896
have kneeboarded the 6'0" but the others are stand-up. no deck views, the laps go straight down and don't hook back up the crack if that helps

Cheers Nachtville - that makes sense. I know on a clear lam some fish glassers like to lap the tail from the underneath and then fill the crack (ooh err!) but I can't see this giving a neat finish on a tint. I still wonder the best way to go about doing the tail though. Can any glassers comment? Tape off and cut the glass flush at the tail and lap from the rail only? I want to do a blue tint all round and appreciate the laps will be darker because of resin build up - no problem - but want to keep it very neat.

----"Speed fish"--this means your eyelids peel back on hollow long walls.
AAhh, I know!!! I just keep going back and forth between the classic twin keel and a quad for my new board!!?? I've had both, love both, but this will be my one and only kneeboard for a while...
