that blank looks good....

like standup surfing , you have alot of options on what kind of kneeboard to ride...so it depends on what you want the board to do and what kind of waves your surfing....

id say the easiest board to learn on is a fins-forward tri design...6'+ and thin..

Here's a design I've placed in the public domain:
http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.c ... ead#unread
(if the link does not work, go to Swaylocks thread "AKU/APS etc PDF Drawrings/Templates"

I just finished the PI Classic on a board of this design and it went like stink in 3' reef and ugly, ugly 3-5' beaches. Only board I ride in 2'-8' surf.

the design looks good. ill be attempting to draw up one on ms paint in a little. but would the fin boxes fit? it looks like it protrudes out of the top. im riding mostly 2 to 4 foot waves, so where would i place fins, ive seen that they're up twords the center of the board, a little after your knees. if im riding 2 to 4 foot waves i would go with a thicker core if i wanted a 5'9" or something like that, and if i used the 6'2" i could make it a little thiner, right? i like beefier boards and i have good balance, so i think i would go with something a little smaller for more performance, and just make it a little thicker with a swallow tail, and a set of fcs fins ( tri or quad)? should there be alot of bottom contour and should it be shaped like a fish surfboard. but wider and the fins moved up? thanks alot for the help.
