Hang on, Im confused,

Where are you measuring the rocker from, 2.6" of rocker seem very very small to me...

How big is this board? How much room do you have to play with in adding more rocker?

the board is 5'8" and from where i measured the rocker is from the nose. up to the foam, and the rear up to the tail. i have a max of 4" because i bought a solid piece of eps. thanks

If your working off of Reds planshape then everything is fine.

If the board is 6'0 or 72" , then your midpoint is 72/2= 36 inches.
With board rocker up, doesnt have to be level or anything.
Hold a rod to that point firmly, so that it is resting on that point
or 'tangent' to that point. Then measure your rocker.

Now those rocker #'s you posted sound wierd, maybe not if your making
a Lis Fish....not realy sure, they are miniscule.

hey,

ive already cut the outside of the board. and i haven't touched the rocker. im still working on the shape 3d. and i think i have a rocker that will work(front and rear) thats what i was measuring from before. i was reading the scoop before. and thats what i mean now, with a front scoop of 3.9" and rear of 2.3". i think it will work alright. im trying to work with what i got, because i have a blank with a 4" depth. the volume is also 41.31

Hey,

I just had a look at the rocker measurements of my favorite board ever, and it was a 5 8, the nose rocker was close to 5 and the tail rocker was just below 2.

nose and tail rocker

Hansel ,
Nice planshape, but just an observation from my perspective on the tail rocker and toe in of the fins, what aids manouverability can inhibit drive ,you may find they are the perfect combination and complement your surfing but if speed is your desire i would reduce both ,it is easier to tune a board that is not as manouverable as you would like by the fins you choose but much more difficult the other way
Hope this is a help, not a hindrance cause everything is relative to so many variables but theres nothing more magic than a board you shaped yourself good luck
