New Board A'Waiting
Hey, Willy Kelly! I checked out your new Freeline quad kneeboard today. What a sweet looking ride. It looks like a Rasta Rocketship!

Hi, Willy. John told me the story but I thought it best to leave it to you to mention. I think we all have our stories of driving away without our equipment or of not strapping a new board to the racks, creating an instant Freeway Flier!
Your new board is quite similar to the board I ride (first generation) but yours is state-of-the-art! The bump up on width of the 6'0" really gives it a good look; that template is just plain gorgeous. And the placement of the boxes should give it really great drive as well. It definitely is the best board in the shop, KB or standup.
Now I've got the jones to order a new one!

I know that this is a forum about Wiili's new board, but his story reminds me of one of mine. . .
In the 80's I lived off and on in Tahiti. While there I completely ruined my beautiful Aipa quad fish. Eric Arakawa is a personal friend of mine and to make a long story short he shaped me probably the only kneeboard he's ever made and brought it to me when he came down for a visit. This was when he was still Island Classics and not HIC's big Kahuna. This thing was gorgeous with the killer spray etc...
A year later back in O'ahu I Lost the thing off the racks off H1 on the way to the West side to surf tracks. I was so poor at the time I didn't get a new board for almost a year!
I still almost cry when I think about it.
Stoked for your new stick Willi

I'll try and spend some time learning how to pots pics, something I haven't gotten around to. I just dropped of a cd to John at Freeline with about 20 pics of my kneeboards through the years that will go up on the shop's site.
I'll take my new Canon digi camera to the shop (Christmas present from my kids) and see if I can enter the 21st century.
