Curiously, as the current Surfing World over here has a poetic tribute from Andrew Kidman to Albert Whiteman & PC, we have a slightly unusual intercontinental synchronicity going on: three pillars of the kneeboard world simultaneously honoured in the mainstream surfing press.

This might be interpreted as the beginning of the next phase in the retro trend.
My gut feeling is that far from being a trend, this marks the start of a very real return to core values.

Such changes always come about organically because the time is right.
The next ten years could be very interesting.

Bud, BA has had photos of this guy up from time to time, and if it's the same guy I'm thinking of I'd see him out mid-day at Windan - don't know his name, but he's got the right board I see :wink:

I've seen BA himself in the water kneeriding, at Blacks and Windan.
