Curiously, as the current Surfing World over here has a poetic tribute from Andrew Kidman to Albert Whiteman & PC, we have a slightly unusual intercontinental synchronicity going on: three pillars of the kneeboard world simultaneously honoured in the mainstream surfing press.
My gut feeling is that far from being a trend, this marks the start of a very real return to core values.
Such changes always come about organically because the time is right.
The next ten years could be very interesting.
