FLASHPOINT now takes PAYPAL!

Post by eqKneelo »

With the strength of the Aussie Dollar, the rise in shipping costs, and the sagging World Economy, a few of us brainstormed with Bruce Hart to look for ways to reduce the cost of ordering boards. It took a lot of work, vetting, and calls to the bank, but I am happy to announce:

FLASHPOINT NOW TAKES PAYPAL!!! 8)

For those of you who know Paypal, this is awesome news... for those of you who don't, Trust me, this is awesome news.

Paypal allows you to send money anywhere in the world with a couple of clicks on the computer. It is the easiest, safest, fastest, and CHEAPEST way to send money in the world. It's is the 100% preferred form of payment on eBay. You can have an account linked to your bank account, your Credit card, or a simple account that just has a zero balance. (Untill you start squirreling away board funds that The Mrs. will never know about. ;-) )

And it's free to sign up. Free to have account.

Just think:
Through Paypal, you could put a down payment on a new board with your credit card (no cash advance fee)... then put a bunch of crap on eBay, raise the balance in your Paypal account... pay off your board with a nominal transfer fee (couple bucks)... all the while knowing your purchase has buyer protection.

No more:
- Hours at the bank trying to secure a International Money Order
- Paying $60-$80 for said Money Order
- Waiting days for the stupid funds to actually transfer and clear.

With Paypal and Bruce's new Shipper, I paid for my new boards in less than a minuet, and they arrived in less than 24 hours. Insane.

In addition, if Australian Clients wanted to add US Products to their orders (Cove Pads, Stonefish Skegs, BOLSA Stickers), it would be effortless to pull off. Since Bruce is now "Certified", they can print shipping labels at home and send stuff regular post to OZ.

All good stuff for our sport.

Thanks Bruce! I know it wasn't easy to set this up.

Oh, and PayPal at least gives you a REAL exchange rate. Not some trumped up lowball exchange the bank offer that cost you even more $$$.

PayPal rocks, I've used it on eBay for years. If you use your credit card, you get two levels of buyer protection. 8)

Check with Bruce directly, he often has people waiting for a shipping partner before confirming an order.
