i'm 61, just ordered a new board. i'm 5'8" @ 230. i got a 5'8" board 23 x 2 7/8 thick. did i get a board that is to small.

i havn't kneeborarded in over 20 yrs. and having confidence issues, with being held under to long. i've been training with swimming and cardio, but i still get spooked out in the water.

i won't have my new board for about two weeks. anybody out there interested in baby sitting me for a about an hour in the huntington beach area when i get my board.

Mate there are lots of us over in Aus that would love to come and help you!
From a cost benefits point of view - how about you head to Bali - warm, nice waves...
Seriously - good luck, find a loan board and sit on the shoulder -

Just like riding a bike, except it dont hurt as much when you fall off!

The mind remembers, dont get in the way. Watch some of the vids from here and use some of the ways they ride. The new boards rock and roll with ease.

Best thing you could do do is hook up with the boyz from this site. Period. 8)

I'd help you, but whenever I volunteer to do something, it hardly ever comes together through no fault of my own. You can come to the Cove on any Sat/Sun. lots of guys to help you.

I didn't think you'd have any trouble finding some one else in the water there at the same time...

Good luck mate, and get into it!
