Hello airboy!

Thanks Headwax :D

What can I help you with? I've just got my latest carbon split flextail finished yesterday. I sent some photos to Steen last autumn but need to get some info to go with them....& some shots of the latest board [will try to do both this weekend] ...perhaps he will post them then.

The boards are working so well...just flying...& a great winter of waves has helped me learn a lot about them.

I will echo Steeno on this one, often times we receive pictures with no words to go with them. We feel that a picture tells a thousand words about a moment in time, but not a lot about what lead to that moment occurring. Something like your split tails deserves more than just the pictures, it deserves a back story to really inform the audience.

Cant wait to read what you have to say Crox!

Good luck boys, I can't even get people to call me for a project I was working on.

I wonder how the split tail concept work on a fish board.
Would the twin pins make this board loser or would you just not get the hole effect of the split?
Would the slight bevel running along the bottom rails from the nose towards the belly have positive effect or negative effect?
This could be the old spoon verses plaining hull arguments.
Keep the stoke and may all of the waves in your life line up like corduroy.
Surfboard a collection of agreeable trade off's moving in one direction.

If you look at this thread - http://www2.swaylocks.com/node/1027523 you can see that my first boards had fish/swallow tails...they worked really well & the flex would tighten up the turning arc of a traditional fish.

The square tails carry more speed but are very controllable because the greater tail area encourages more flex [more upward force from the water] ....so at the moment they seem like the logical shape to use.
As far as the bevel goes....I would need to make one & try it! :D
