The pictures look great. Have you made kneeboards before? Do you make kneeboards for other people? I can't wait to see it with a deck pad and hear how it surfs.

Re: Time for a new board
Josh - This is my 8th home-made board and I'm definitely no expert. Never shaped one for someone else. It's fun and frustrating at the same time. The experience has given me a real appreciation for the skill level of professional shapers and glassers. Out of the 8, I've had what I would consider 2 good boards, 3 ok and 2 duds (I was able to partially strip and reshape the duds, resulting in ok boards, so all was not lost). Hopefully, this is a good one, but I never know until it gets in the water.

The fin placement looks great. I would think fin boxes would be easier. To me the glass on fins show that you really think about the way water will flow around the board.
Stay sane and keep shaping.

Very cool Josh. I'd never attempt what you're doing so it's fun to see the progress. Wondering why you didn't use a removable fin system because fins can make a difference in performance depending on conditions. Thx!

Re: Time for a new board
Interesting you used red foam for your board. It's light, but it is also very susceptible to pressure. Have you tried blue foam? It's a bit heavier, though not much, but holds up much better to stress.
Great job. Your board looks fantastic.
