And now the rest of the story-
To be good at hunting, you have to be as one with what you hunt and where you hunt it, especially if you're out there with a bow or spear or medium-sized rock. You can't just expect to thrash away and find game, you have to be at least as good as the other predators...which humans are. Find where they live, what they eat, how to move silently and so that you're not seen. If you'rwe good at it, you eat. If not, you starve.
While someone simply gathering berries can clump through the woods frightening off whatever's there...give or take a few hungry berry-eating bears who may take exception to somebody hitting their favorite berry patch, somebody who is not only eating their berries but rather tasty into the bargain.
Besides, anyone who is catching fish with a cast net is at least a little of a hunter, knowing how to find 'em where they live, sneaking up and letting fly.
So, who was really in tune with it all and who wasn't? Who's who, in other words?
So, meanwhile, back in the Valley of Parable.....
We're forgetting Phil the Farmer; the guy who grew the wheat to make the bread and made pretty good beer on the side, The Gallo Brothers who made the wine and of course, Florsheim the shoemaker who was thinking about sending some shoes over into the next village at a discount. And everybody else in the village.
Including the crazy old witch doctor....

The Rest Of The Story
Crox buddy,
You didn't quite finish that parable: Flex jumps 'em both and takes their food.
Seriously--blessed Xmas to you too.
