Blu Eye eyewear have a water sports model called Squid. Similar to the Oakleys you mention, the Squid lenses have air vents but importantly are non-polarized. On order for less $$$. Also came across Kurtis surf goggles.kidrock wrote:Oakley Water Jackets

Have a look at these I have been wearing them for about 3 years. Heaps cheaper than Oakleys.

Oakley - Water Jackets - are expensive due to quality, not just name. Still, after purchasing a less expensive brand first, I then went out and tried the Oakley's. Oakley's weighed less and vision was brighter. But, they didn't suit my shape face and looked mucho *bling*. That's my style, inconspicuous vanity, even in the surf. You never know when you're gonna drop-in on someone with a helmet cam.bdwqld wrote:Heaps cheaper than Oakleys.

All I know is when I see a guy out with water goggles on I think, KOOK!Watch out for that guy! Add a helmet and I guantee no matter what you do he will run you over with his foam board before your session is over.
My father told me something once when I was learning to windsurf that has never failed to be true. He told me to, "watch out for the guys with helmets and life jackets", they go in a straight line, have no idea what's going on around them, and will run you over or be right in your way in a critical section.
just saying...do you want to be that guy.
What would your buddies have said if you paddled out with all this crap on in 1975?
