Strengthening the muscles around your knee

With the averge age of the kneeboarder these days this area should be used to post issues on health matters (surfer's ear, knee surgery, stretches, etc).

knee

Post by Jack Beresford »

All,

Thanks again to everyone for the advice. I think I'm finally at that age where I can't just run down the hill to Blacks and jump in the water without stretching, etc.

Hopefully the injury turns out to be minor - my doctor doesn't think there's a tear but I'm probably going to get an MRI to be sure. For now, I've shut it down for surfing for the past two weeks (paddling only). We'll see how it feels next week before the contest. At least the surf hasn't been all that great (thus far).

Hopefully you're on the mend Jack :D

Seems that Tom Linn had a bum shoulder or something before the Worlds last year......and he went on to win the Grandmasters 8)

So, I expect you'll be giving us all a run for our $ in O'side next month

Mike, I'll second that.I've got an Indo "all around" model with the round air bladder base and it works great.

yep... got the perfect therapy for you.

Start with trenching my sprinklers in the front yard. After about 120 linear feet, you want to move up to footings for planters. I'm thinking 18" deep, 12 " wide, and about 56 linear feet. The final step for rehab is bending rebar. You'll be 100% by June and ready to shred.

I can provide a perfect rehab environment for you. If you're interested, p.m. me.
