I think you all have it wrong...
Geno is promoting good dental hygiene. Those aren't cords, they're floss.
I believe he's pointing out the desired gumline.
(tongue in cheek... caressing said molar... Trowt-sized molar! )
Seriously... Geno will be back. Proposals are in route that should help.
That said, I think this goes back to Albert stirring the pot a few pages back... ala 'what would Geno say?' It's pretty minor, really, and a pretty funny response.
IMHO, let it ride as good fun... which is the sense I get. Besides good-humored responses, I'm hoping that Geno here has the last word... the bird!
Maybe instead of WWJD, we should have WWGD? (tongue in cheek again!)

Re: Pads

Never go without them again!!!
I use the bubble pads of parkes on my blast but found they got slippery when sun block got on them (duh) so I coated them all with rubber cement, and they work fine.
New Freak Neil Luke board has parkes grooved or pads, which I like better, excellent density and grip.
No wet suits here, pads increase the surface area of the contact, so better grip.

I assume most you guys don't shave your legs. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you do, though.
Anyway, because I do shave my legs my skin gets dried out quickly, hence lotion is often needed after a shower to avoid the alligator skin look. Nothing more surprising though than dropping into a wave only to slide off the board like sh*t through a goose.
If I've forgotten to soap my legs before surfing (which removes the lotion), I'll grab a handful of sand at the water's edge and rub 'em down from knee to ankle.
And it doesn't matter if its pads or no pads, it's still damn slippery.
A little wax does help too, so long as there's no lotion on there, otherwise even the wax won't stick.

Hey Darcy, I avoid that problem by shaving the night before. Lotion or no lotion, salt water burns like a bitch on freshly shaved legs!DarcyM wrote:Anyway, because I do shave my legs my skin gets dried out quickly, hence lotion is often needed after a shower to avoid the alligator skin look. Btw, my new Romo (first kneeboard) is being delivered today, deckpad and all. Allison
