Little Patrick, 7 months, had a stroke on Sunday resulting in a paralysed leg and arm. He's already making a fantastic recovery, he can move his leg again and has got some mobility in his arm. But although the hospital here in java has identified one stroke after a CT scan, they're worried there is something else they can't see and is still at risk.

We're taking him to Singapore tomorrow for further treatment. Please spare a thought for him - maybe some connecting energies in the universe will give him a helping hand. The idea that he may never be able to share in the things I love to do is unbearable, how would I ever be able to surf again knowing that he didn't even have the choice...

Here's a pic from hospital. You can see he's not at all worried and a lot braver than me or his mum!

Tomway, the SFK clan is praying for Patrick.

Please let us know how we can help.

Medical advise, prayer, you name it.

Heavy heart, and in the ready.

If there's information to share that may help, let's let it flow.

Until then, we pray with you.

Tom geez mate my thoughts are with you, being the father of four with one on the way that is a situation I dread. Hope your little bloke makes a full recovery and in a few short years your surfing waves in Java together. Singapore is the best place to be at the moment with all of the medical facilities they have. Mate if there is anything we can do for you just send a message, or give me a call...don't hesitate to ask.Our thoughts are with you, your wife and your little bloke, the Halbert family.

Tomway, I just showed your post to my wife, starting with the photo of your beautiful son.

Tomway, as others have said, even though a parent, I can only imagine what you're going through. Ask for strength and it will come.

Our thoughts are with you and your family.

We're praying for you Patrick.

God bless your kid. I'll be praying from over here to make sure he comes out of this ok. Keep your mind positive that everything is going to be alright. Positive thinking brings positive things. And let God do the rest. Just ask him what you have to do to help and he'll lead the way. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
