Achilles Tendon Surgery

With the averge age of the kneeboarder these days this area should be used to post issues on health matters (surfer's ear, knee surgery, stretches, etc).

Saturday was my first day in the water. Man, that felt so good. Going without fins is a strange feeling, more than a few times I slid off the back to start kicking to then realize that wasn't going to work.

Walking up the small hill after was not fun not fun at all.

More this weekend.

I'm stoked!!

The next milestone reached...

used flippers for the first time this weekend without any ill effects. It's been about 5 months since surgery and I'm now ready for the winter swell. :D

Still in physical therapy at 11+ months from my surgery. Blood clots slowed down my recovery though. Extending my time in the water on every go out. Just recently found out that apparently I had at least one mini stroke to complicate things. Doing well though.

Keep us posted.
