Joel Mayer hospitalized

Early reports say that Joel Mayer had a possible heart attack last night and is in Tri Cities hospital in O'side.
Curtis Odom will be updating with more info when available. Please keep him, his family and friends in your thoughts today.

I'll be praying for Joel. He's been an O-Side fixture for more years than I can remember and a felow kneelo.

I spoke with Joel last night. He seems to be doing well and confirmed that he would be discharged from the hospital this weekend. Says he's excited to get out of the hospital and get back into the water.

I just talked with Joel, he is doing fine and is being checked out of the hospital at noon by his sister.

Glad to Here You Are Geting Out Of Hospital This Weekend
Its Wake Up Call For Every One ,That is Up In Our Age Couples Of Month Ago ,Had Full Check Up And Found Out i Had Very High Blood Pressure ,And Dr Got Me On Two Medication, I May Very Well Could of Had Hart Attack Or Stroke As Well. So Stay On Top Of Thing With Our Health,No Moore Clove Cig Joel

I spoke to Joel yesterday, and he got a good scare, but will be Ok.
First thing he said was "Time to start surfing more, smoking less."
Music to my ears, and a life lesson for all of us.
