anyone ever get a swollen achilles from there fin strap. not real bad but i was kinda wondering

I have been nursing what i believe to be tendonitis of the achilles. Think i did it in june last year running in the sand to the surf. I just switched ins. last month and hope to find some resolve. Google it there are good sites with help.

Ice will help with the inflammation, one of those freezer packs or ice in a plastic ziploc baggy. Don't put it directly on the skin, a washcloth in between works fine. No more than 15 minutes at a time. You can actually burn your skin with prolonged direct contact. If your sittin' around with time to do nuthin' you can put it for around 10 minutes every hour.
