With the averge age of the kneeboarder these days this area should be used to post issues on health matters (surfer's ear, knee surgery, stretches, etc).

Need Help URGENT!!!

Post by farbz »

G'day everyone , I have a question for you. I have a mate who has been diagnosed with a form of brain cancer and he's been given 3 months to live.
The doctors think it started from a sun cancer on his arm he had removed in 98.
The official name of the desease is cerebral lesions, metastic malignant melanoma.
He just wants any info that could help him.
I have heard that the doctors in the U.S are the best at this sort of stuff.
If anyone can help pls email me adam@auto-quote.com

onya's Farbz.

My brother was diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine this past winter. Treatment is going really well and it looks like its in remission already. I will have him ask his doc - who has a really great reputation.

All our best to your mate.

Brain Tumor

Post by Techno »

Farbz,

Go to this thread:

viewtopic.php?t=283&highlight=

It was done the day I found out my wife had a Brain Tumor - she was given 6-12months to live.

She has had Radiation treatment - and is now up to her 6th Chemo treatment, is doing really well and has actually had quite a bit of shrinkage.
She has a grade 4 (The worst) Glio Sarcoma.
It is the most aggressive brain tumor there is.

She told the Doctors that they were wrong - said she would prove them wrong - and is determined to do so.

She has the most positive outlook on life and is taking each day as it comes - one day at a time.
We have 3 small kids - she has said she will be around a lot longer to help me bring our children up - teach them to surf and enjoy life - no matter what it throws at you and how long you may have on this planet.

On top of her brain tumor - I'm in the final stages of renal failure - kidney transplant on the way (sooner or later).

So life continues !!!
Tell your mate - "Be positive - stay focused - prove the Doctors wrong".

Mate - take the time to read my other treads re: Brain Tumors.
It will give you a small insight into how this sort of thing can shake up your life - and that of those around you !!!

Feel free to contact me or my wife about anything that can help your mate.

Thanks Techno , it has been a strange week to say the least.
Mike is my mates name he lives in the UK, we met in Africa in 98 and he came out to my sisters wedding and stayed with us guys and we've all been over to London to stay with him etc etc.
Absolute champion of a bloke .
I spoke with him this week and he is really positive and ready to fight.
I can only back the man.
As fate has it my sister and I both emailed him about a doctor Teo here in Sydney who is supposed to be the gun brain tumor guy.
Little did we know that each of us had sent those emails without even having a conversation re: this doctor.
To make things more bizaare was the fact that this doctor called Mike from Australia and told him he might be able to save him , this was after my sister emailed the doc and asked for some advice.

Your wife sounds like a brave lady . I will forward on the story to Mike he will be happy to read this.

Thanks Again .
