Hot Tube Riding Courtesy Brian Conley

Post by Scott »

The modern master of the in-the-tube-video (with all respect to Simon!), Brian Conley has a new video coming out: "My Eyes Won't Dry 2". Pretty amazing preview of it just released on surfline.com.

Hope you can all get it to run. Quite the stoke!!

AWESOME...absolutely awesome. The behind-the-rider POV had me leaning into my armchair. Great stuff!!!

Yo Scott, I sent that same link to your irrevent nephew yesterday and got this back:

I love that guy! It gets better each time! Those are GIANT barrels.. and he looks so relaxed in em. Surprisingly I think I like the camera angle better when you can see him in it. Greenough's "Echos" can go in the garbage.. yea thats right, I said it! --el Nino

Dude's history! The least he could do is learn how to spell echoes.

Awesome. I too like the view with the rider in it. However, they'd put in a few sequences at ordinary speed instead making it all slowmo.

echoes

Post by gene west »

That footage was insane!!! But a note to el nino...GREENOUGH filmed ECHOES in '68, with a camera and housing that he himself made, shoulder mounted-still relevent and anyone who dismisses it's importance is in denial ! It was the first "in the tube " point of view any one but a surfer had ever seen and only a kook would say it belongs in the garbage...Pink Floyd still uses ECHOES footage as part of their shows!...learn your history young man!!!!
