What do you guys do to keep your knees in shape?
My knees are pretty thrashed from skateboarding (and I'm only 21); going out and kneeboarding for a few hours never helps! I usually bodyboard or standup surf because the direct load on my knees doesn't work out too well.
I'm not sure you can "work out" the knee, but do you guys do any stretching/yoga/pilates to keep yourselves loose and flexible? How about pads--do you run pads that are thicker than normal to handle your aerial surfing style?
Beautiful surfing. The top turns are like Bobby Martinez's backside hacks--tight radius carves that cover only the area of snap. Great stuff.
And, I did not know that Globe supported kneeboarding; its cool you all are opening up doors like that.

Kneelingbrotha
I dont know what you can do to strengthen the knees themselves, but having torn my medial ligament twice and having physio for that i learnt that its important to build and strengthen the muscles around the knee.
And yeah we add extra rubber under the kneepads. Nice and soft for big landings.
Globe have been kind enough to help me out. Support those that support what we all enjoy to do. Theres a nice little plug for Globe, ha
