Cool retro stuff. Now I know this will set off a $#it storm but imagine if he was riding some modern equipment. I have seen GG surf in person and the guy is insane but if you watch that footage 1/2 the time the board is bogging or sinking. On a Parkes, Flashpoint, Freeline, Blast, etc it would be crazy. I guess what I am saying is that boards have progressed light years since that time. Greenough and the other guys were way ahead of their times, but our equipment now is far superior.

moffets right hander is on the sunshine coast
where the 35th ma & pa bendle comp is being held
the 14th & 15th feb
it is run by windansea boardriders sunshine coast
the kneeboard section still has a couple of openings
gg used to come to the sunshine coast for the warm water
and good waves during the cyclone swell season which is now
with one cyclone up at cairns & a more promising one for swell
building in the coral sea
gg shaped spoons here for haden surfboards
with a few very nice examples still around
he still lives & surfs near byron bay

awesome to see how GG surfed the pocket of the wave, especially in comparison to the standup in the same clip.....kneeboarding was so far ahead of standup surfing back then
