Alternate heat.

Post by IronMonkeyone »

Hello all,
I was told by the videographer that he posted a video of some clips of the alternate heat. Since it was some of the best surf conditions of the day, I would really like to see it. Can anyone lemme know where to find it?
Cheers,

Maybe we will soon have a "Spoon" category at the titles.

Thanks Budgie, and Badknees. I followed Max at the Wedge all summer, but it was a lousy season, combined with crowds, and the blackball at 10am, left me short on video. I was hoping for more, maybe in the future, but for now I didn't want the stuff I had go to waste.
The spoon video is about Cynthia's purchase of the spoon at our contest, and riding one for the first time. It was unscheduled, she happened to show up at the Cove with it. Waves were pretty mushy, but it was an experience she enjoyed. She also let me try it out. I thought I would never get a chance. It was really fun. It's different for sure. She rode it better than I did. Maybe some day I will get to try out an old single fin.

Mike ,it was fun having you out there both on the beach and in the water.
We will try again as soon as the souths start showing again.
You showed some b@()s going out there to get the shots with the water housing.
What you did turned out really good, thanks.

Mike one of the water shots at the wedge was from behind Max meaning as he proceeded left you were just about to get schmushed by the lip?

Glad your enjoying guys. :D
B1, nobody escapes The Wedge, wether your filming, or riding as you can see from Max's ride. Straightening out won't help much, but it's better than getting hit by the lip.
I didn't get worked that bad, getting the higher angles on the face will cause you to get sucked over the falls, that might hurt.
Besides the occasional death, weird stuff happens there. I was telling Max one day I saw a surfer get nailed, his board went flying straight sideways, a 90 degree angle from where he was, and almost hit a swimmer in the head who was 50-75ft away. Weird stuff indeed.
