Thanks Mike that was very interesting & to think I went to school in Brookvale & surfed the North Shore of Sydney & never met up with all these legends from the same area. Well done Mike & Peter.

thanks Mike, really interesting, if only I saw that interview ten years ago I wouldn't have to be bludgeoning shapers to get little tidbitrs of info :)

I only met Peter ware once, got out of the water at the 1979 (?) sitmar cruises at Maroubra with my home made board. He wanted to look at the board, ran his practiced eye over it and said - ah that's why you keep going over the falls in the barrel - too much concave in the nose.

Great to get advice like that. But I still have too much concave in my nose .... :) I just stay away from barrels thats all
