Warren was the main guy to photgraph the incredible neeboard surfing at Big Rock in La Jolla California during the 70's (And not without personal risk.)

Warren has a great portfolio book available from Surfer's Journal in their Masters of Surf Photography section.....

A great collection of his outstanding work.....

Loved his work. He made a comment about shooting knee boarders at pipe. " There so far back you can't see them to shoot them. There the ones getting really deep! " Will miss him

Warren Bolster Exhibition in San Diego

All, there will be a showing of Warren Bolster's photos in downtown San Diego this thrusday night. There was a full page ad about it in the latest SurfShot magazine.

I'll be down with Bob Gove, I hope some of you can make it as well.

I'm definitely going to go check out his photography. He was one of the limited photographers who could shoot the kneeboarders at Big Rock. He was also ahead of his time, by using the camera board to get the perspective of the rider in the tube.

Warren was a great guy. I nearly de-capitated him a few times at Big Rock. We also shared a love of music and he turned me on to a few great musicians. I will miss him and his eye for the unusual angle for a shot.
