Bintang Bob

Post by khoningford »

My most sincere condolences and prayers for you and your family, Susan. I also knew of Bob only through his posting on this site, but he seemed like a caring and thoughtful man, and a great repesentative of our sport has been taken from us. We will all feel your loss and may God give you strength during this difficult time and always.

Suzie...take care luv, from us on the south coast...
What a fantastic photo of Bob and Suzie ... Bob definitely looks like a fun loving character ... like most people here I only knew Bob through this site ... my loss.
Your loss is far greater Suzie ... and my heart goes out to you ... words seem so hollow at a time like this ... but cherish the wonderful memories ... and celebrate his life.
So I'll raise a glass and catch a few waves in honor of Bintang Bob.

For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand.
While imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

The kneeboard world just lost a great fun loving guy I will always remember. This came too suddenly for me, I just PM'd Bob last week, and was planning on visiting Bob, and Suzie in NZ in the future. Bob was a devoted husband, and him and Suzie made a great couple! I had some funny times with Bob last year in OZ. I will not forget him. My condolences to Suzie. Rest in Peace my friend.

Susan,

I would be so grateful, as I'm sure others would be, too, if someone (not you!) could post a transcript of Bob's memorial service. Not being able to attend the service, this would be the next best thing for me.

Just a thought...
I'm not influenced by the past; I change it!

Like many others I only knew Bob from his posts here, but his voice in type was genuine and likeable and what he contributed was always a valuable addition to this community.

RIP Bintang Bob.

My condolences to everyone who knew Bob and was touched by his life. May he rest in peace--he's riding perfect, uncrowded waves in a better place now.

Suzie, I did not know Bob. But the out pouring of love here tells me something, In Judaism, death is not a tragedy, even when it occurs early in life or through unfortunate circumstances. Death is a natural process. Our deaths, like our lives, have meaning and are all part of G-d's plan. In addition, we have a firm belief in an afterlife, a world to come, where those who have lived a worthy life will be rewarded. Bob lived a worthy life. May god bless you and shalom.
