Found this article teasing vintage kneeboard design
the modern surfers, especially in larger waves would have had more luck to just stay low and go.
what's with the standing angle?
one of my all time fav boards had similar single fin placed deep up on a mod'ed aipa stinger

Great to see that GG is getting back into shaping boards, always with interesting designs. And cool to see good surfers riding them in some decent surf. That board got going really fast on those right hand point waves, I thought.
I'm not influenced by the past; I change it!

Re: GG's Back with single fins
Scott,
I was out during the first surf section of the video - that's me on the mat.
This guy is a really good surfer to be sure.
However, the video is sped up to make it look faster than it is.
When he pulled up, I thought it was a spoon and thought I might finally get a chance to ride one.
We talked during the session and he said the board is pretty amazing once the waves get a bit more power.
