Farewell Liam Fitzgerald

Last Thursday night, Liam fell to his death from the cliffs at Turimetta Headland..some 100 metres or so from his home.

He was 17 years old and studying his final High School year.

This has been a tragic accident and has left the Narrabeen community in sadness and shock.

To his parents Terry and Pauline, his brothers Kye and Joel and his sister-in-law Isabell, you have my heart-felt sympathy and genuine remorse.

Liam was a good kid and fine young man. The thoughts of the kneeboard surfing fraternity are with you and with your family.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for letting all of us know of this tragedy.Most certainly our condolences and respects go out to the Fitzgerald family.It's times like these that really do bring the FULL worldwide surfing fraternity together no matter what your surfing "discipline" is.

I'm thankful I didn't have to post this topic myself. Liam was a great guy who I surfed with almost everyday, he absolutely ripped and was a really nice guy too. It is tragic how sudden it was, as during the day hours of Thursday he was out Northy throwing huge air reverses and ripping as he always did. Farewell Liam you are sorely missed by your family and friends. The Fitzgerald family has mine and my families deepest sympathies.
