I don't see any real issues with the deck strength for kneeboards. I'll work with Danny on the frame to see if there may be any tweaks we can do for the critical area under the knees. I'm used to foam which does "dent" a bit under the pads which creates noticeable pocket for each knee. I don't expect the wood to do this so it will be different. I've ridden crowned decks and don't like the feel as much so I'll be trying to go as flat as possible on the surface.

T minus 60 days I'd say!

Cheers,

Don
These boards sound so interesting to me as I have been doing similar work with cork in fins and as a core for surfboards. Also made a few out of redwood that are hollow but built differently, its really great to see people smashing the box!!

The boards look really intriguing and I very much appreciate the greener footprint. I did not see anything about pricing. Don do you have any idea of what a ballpark price of the board that you are trading might be? Again the boards look great. Cheers TC

Those wooden boards do look beautiful.

Here's another foam alternative:

I haven't tried these yet but probably will for my next board.

another MDI based blank company thats gettting awsome reviews on swaylocks is ICE-NINE

http://www.ice-ninefoamworks.com/blanks.html

single 4 oz decks/bottoms are supposedly super strong, surviving sessions under heavy footed pros without pressure dings.....

the foam is also much whiter then HOME-Blowns...,

I agree with Jon Manss, and I was trying to find a price on one but couldn't. They sure are pretty. Can he shape anything? 8)
