first kneelo build....

just started my first knee board.. i am excited to see how it comes
to fruition... i would like to thank Red for the advise, info and
specs... also Albert for his imput . I will post some shots as it progress's, so far we have made the template and cut it out will start shaping
this weekend... it will be a 6'2 x 24 x 3.25 fishtail quad.... balsa skin

Nice! what #EPS you using? i couldnt find any XPS here in cali for a reasonable price...dirt cheap over there though eh?
my next stick will definetly be leaning towards compsand....
keep up the good work!
PS.. your stoked cause you dont need an oven.... Cook your shaped blank in black trash bags in the car on a hot day....
better out gas that XPS now then have it go under the glass...

Word is using (decent quality) 1.5lb or higher EPS no need to worry about gassing

and not having your 1 ib eps newy fill with water your 2nd session and weigh 30 ibs when you exit the water

its 1.5 lb EPS and XPS for rails, tail block, fin blocks and leash plug... regarding gassing we always include a vent to make sure though....

finished rails and glassed Sat....... should be done next week, it went flat
again yesterday so i got some extra time... leaving for san diego in 6 days
i hope its cooler and going off for a wk or so....got to better than florida
flatness....

the board is glassed and I hotcoated the deck,and will be running hotcoats for the rest of the day.
