Met up with Parkes up on the North Shore and he was willing to let his personal Swallow tail quad he brought from Oz go.

Bad part is I am laid up with shoulder surgery recovery for the next eight weeks.

But stoked none the less.

Will post pics of the 6'1" x 22.5" x 2-7/8" parkes quad

She is a beaut

lucky man with the DP board.

:) take care of the shoulder, one thing you'll find when back in the water is star anchors under water might be problematic and trying to cover your head after a bad wipeout will be slow

so dont wipe out I guess

I spent 12 months out of the water after I screwed mine

star anchors ?

I am still hung up with rehabbing my shoulder. So no water time for me yet.

Lent Parkes board to good friend and he has given me some feedback on how it worked for him. I need to live vicariously through him for now.

He said the board was awesome and peeps in the water was giving him compliments on how great the board was working. This was at a south shore reef break and looks to be about 2-3 Hawaiian.

He says it has some serious speed and likes to go rail to rail. The powerbase XL fins in a quad set up worked fine. And seems to give the board drive. Once he got his position dialed in he said the turns and direction changes are effortless. He was also making a section that some of the surfers were straightening out on.

In one session with another pad besides the parkes pad he can see the board being a go to board for him.

Can't wait to ride the board.
