Avianca & Surfboards?

Post by austo »

Guys this is a long shot but has anyone flown Avianca to South America packinng a board. I have visited their website and it does mention that something that size will be hit as oversize luggage and probably would have to go as freight(which I do expect to pay for) But I have flown with them before and seen some of the "luggage"(everything but the chickens  ) some of the locals check in. Just thought someone might have had the experience.
Cheers
Stu.
