The one in the Indian Ocean, not the pacific.
Anyone been there?
I once spoke to someone who claimed there was a long left there... Looks like there could be some potential and I've always wanted to go to Australia

ah, i once heard that the peter crawford article was a surf media lie,
they got skunked on waves there and use shots of cocos islands for this place,
goggle earth map look real bad, if the swell is there , there's no roads close to shores,
and alot of $$ for airfare

Peter Crawford article? Any more info on this?
I know what you mean about the google earth images, but from experience I know they're also quite deceptive too. Cocos does seem altogether more promising.

Not that good mate! I'm going to 'borrow' that new boat you're scheming up, run it out to sea until the tanks are dry, and then row the rest of the way
Just intrigued, the guy who told me about the left there made out it was pretty good - but perhaps he was talking about cocos and not letting on.

Yep, I'm amped. Sounds like there could be a few ksusa members in the area too.

tomway, i know a guy who's been working there for a couple of years he fishes for mackerel and lots of other types of "large" fish right off the rocks
extremely deep drop off, mind you he doesn't surf but i asked him about it and he said there are some surfers on the island but considering the tsunami
went right on by without doing anything [ just a little pointy pimple in the ocean ] you might be better off going to the coco's getting there is a bit of a mission i looked into it 2 yrs back flights unpredictable expense etc but it looks incredible might be worth the hassle AB
