flying on a jet plane destination unknown

Now, how cool is this?

Girl I'm dating told me to take the next two days off work, pack my board and passport and meet her at her house tonight. We fly out in the morning and end up at a beach someplace for 4 days...I think I like this girl.

I'll update destination and surf conditions when I return.

On a side note, this past weekend was my first time in the water in almost 3 months as a result of an achilles rupture...so it's just that much sweeter.

That was awesome!!!

We got on a plane to San Diego on Thursday morning and that was the first I knew about where I thought we were going. We fly down, get a car and then go to the beach, she then says the condo I rented should be ready now...she then proceeds to drive to the border...destination Rosarito.

Surf was marginal Thu-Fri but very good Sat and Sun. I'm still relegated to the body board but man I had such a good time. Calafia beach on Sat and K-38 Sunday with shoulder to head high waves. Saw a knee-crew at Calafia point on Sunday looking like they were having a good time but couldn't make it down the rocks to join.

Oh, and the Rosarito Pro Am was going over the weekend so got to see some quality surfing at the pier.
