Sorry, Sunshine Coast, which is of course a much nicer place to be. 8) (not as many tourists) You have to excuse us Kiwi's as we dont really know the geography of your vast country.

Howard, you live in an extremely beautiful part of the world.
My wife & I did the RV thing a couple of years back.
The camper was great once we got accustomed to driving the narrow mountain roads with no guard rails! :D

Yes, it is a great place to be, we've seen most of it over the years but I cant say that I've surfed enough of it yet. Spend too much time at the local breaks and a few other spots, need to road trip more.

Been to OZ a few times and we always get away from the tourist spots and look for the real gems. You guys have a few but you've got greater distances between 'em.

Surf has been good lately with a couple of good days each week leaving a recovery period and time to catch up on work.

Any of you Sydneysiders up for a surf with a Yank one day?

Also, what do you recommend I bring for a wettie? I've got a 5/4, 4/3 or a shorty. I would like to wear the shorty but think 4/3 is most likely the call.

Two week countdown.

3/2 is all you need for Sydney ... even a 2/2 ... or a tutu if you're going to surf in the Bondi region.

Hope you strike it lucky KAVA. My best day surfing at Raglan was christmas day about 1985. Indicators, 1 1/2 OH light offshores, with only about 10 of us out.

Eric is making his way around the North Island at present, had a couple of surfs here at the Mount on Tuesday and Wednesday before heading for Gisborne and Mahia then on to Taranaki and up to Raglan.

We introduced him to a Kiwi Quiz night at a local tavern and he also received the 'Blonds Guide to NZ History' courtesy of my daughter and niece(hope it wasn't too confusing).

Trust the storms, slips and floods weren't too bad Eric after you left here. We should have checked the news and weather before we sent you off.
