Christmas Family Surf Holiday

Post by albert »

Hello,

I just received a call from my girl's parents asking me to find a place to book a family holiday during Christmas time (they're paying! :D). Surf is a must, but 'quality' surf is not essential, happy to just get a consistent wave at all. Other must-have's include;
- 4-5 star resort (this means no indo :cry:)
- Lots of activities (scuba diving, pool, bar :D, hiking, etc. enough to keep people entertained for 10 days)
- Within striking distance from Australia (Hawaii is too far :cry: )
- Resort size big enough so that the kids will have other kids to play with if possible
- Surf out the front!
- Good food.
We will be a tribe of about 10 people (and only me surfing), all with different interests, going for about 10 days. Cant let an opportunity like this go by without getting some surf!

Any suggestions?
So far, research points to Aganoa Beach Retreat - Samoa, Plantation Island Resort - Fiji, Lomani Island Resort. Other alternatives include Cook islands or Vanuatu.

Thanks
Albert

PNG is really good. I have been there twice to Kavieng (Nusa Island) great surf, superb diving. Took my partner with me last time, she would dissapear all day got right into the local culture.

Thanks for the tip, but the holiday has been all booked. The inlaws were keen to get it all booked straight away.

So where did you end up Bert?

And does she have a sister that isn't opposed to bigamy? (as I do quite like the wife I already have)
