Kauai-- January 26-February 4

Heading to Kauai for some surf, hiking and relaxation January 26-February 4. Traveling solo and would like a campervan but they want big money for the vans +/- $1k for 10 days so I'm also looking into cheap studios and an econobox. Any suggestions from the crew?
I was also thinking that I may be willing to offer time in my house in San Francisco up for trade for a campervan or home if you all know anybody that might be interested in that.
Lastly and more importantly, I would really enjoy a chance to surf with any fellow kneeboarders and will be checking the "board bank" for a possible loaner.

thanks K-man. That could work although, I was thinking campervan like a Westfalia:bed,kitchen, etc... I had a campervan in NewZealand and it was great. However, an extra $400 to eat out wouldn't be bad either.

got 3 P.O.S. beat up Blast's,
well 2 of them are being rehab now so not too bad.
& going begging to the west side crew for hand me downs so may have more by jan.

That site forgets to mention that you cant car camp on kauai. Need to get a permit from the state to camp in the parks only. Thats a good idea with the right setting. On a local's land for example!

Too much dinero!!!Rent a nice room for around 50 night.There are deals..complete with small kitchen area.Car for 25 aday no other costs.Do day trips.Try this..What I do...Don't know about the accomodations though.

Does the waihine come with that rental? Just rent a van, call me, get my camping gear and board. and then enjoy!
