Extra details about Nusa; SAPNG the local surfing association limit the number of visiting surfers to 20. This is my third visit to Nusa Retreat the only time there has been more that 7 surfers in the water is when the "shifts" change. The 7 surfers are six guests and the boat skipper. Last time I was up there we were surfing three "shifts" a day up to 7.5 hours of surfing each day.
There are 7 breaks 6 of which are only accessible by boat. The retreat also run a road trip down the east coast of Latangai Island, spectacular scenery and multiple surf breaks. The food is amazing they really look after you, the trip is all inclusive, the only thing you have to pay for is bad habits.

Consider yourself lucky for not being able to go on this trip, Lefty. I have it on good authority that those going are doubtless " a cadre of kneeboarders who are generally viewed as insane..."
I'm not influenced by the past; I change it!

I looking forward to seeing how Wanderer and bdwqld perform their pre-surf stretching routine in the boats.

Very funny, you do have a point it will be awkward, but then again the water up there is like getting into a warm bath, very soothing!

Lefty I took my wife up with me last time, she had a ball, spent the days in the village. I came back from a late afternoon surf and found her sitting in the middle of a the village with the elders learning how to make shell jewelry and trying her hand at wood carving. She didn't want to go home was talking about getting a job up there teaching the kids.
