A little northern recon this weekend to Lost Coast/Shelter Cove area. Looks like there should even be some swell. Anybody familiar with the area got any tips
Thank you

Surf was flat but WOW talk about beautiful country!!! Just south of boat ramp--2 guys out on 9 footers. Occasional 2 or 3 wave sets in the shin to knee high range. Went to Black Sand beach to the north. Walked up the beach for about 45 minutes and found a couple perfect looking reef setups breaking in the 6-12 inch range, but perfectly peeling peaks. Virtually zero people. Awesome scenery.

Only downside would be how to earn a living. I don't have what it takes to be an outlaw pot farmer. Seems to be where most of the $ around there comes from. Pretty cool area. Every little whistle stop town has a health food store, a head shop and a tie-dye store. And stickers like Weed Not Bush are everywhere

That's why they call it the ''green'' triangle. And the fact being that if it weren't for the ''green''most of those cool little places wouldn't exist.
Did ya notice the sigh going into p. arena?BE MINDFUL.It's been there a long time. The hippies are alive and well, ageing, but holding as the saying goes.

Talking the other day with friendly red-neck customer who was quoting his DEA buddy as saying that when the twin pillars of our economy--oil and housing--are in trouble, the drug money supports the housing market and keeps the train rolling! Too bad the powers that be aren't smart enough to distinguish degrees of danger and harmfullness. Of course, if they could do that, then the "green" economy would collapse and top quality mj would be worth about $10/kilo. And the guns and pitbulls would vanish from the area. Silly wabbits! And the fact being that if it weren't for the ''green''most of those cool little places wouldn't exist.
