Sent today to bpacker@maui.net
I'd like to reserve hostel-style accomodation in Plantation Village from 10th Feb 2005 to 2nd March 2005
If it is possible I'd like to be in the same cabin as (real name omitted) who will book separately.
We are travelling over from Australia for Bud Mcrae's kneeboard gathering and would be prefer to share or be close to other kneeboarders if you can manage it.
Please let me know availability and what you need in the way of deposits.
The relevant section on their webpage is http://www.backpackers-hawaii.com/plant.html:
Plantation Village is 9 plantation style cabins just down the street from the Main House (200 meters) located across from the other end of Pupukea Beach Marine Sanctuary (Three Tables Beach). The cabins are nestled among hibiscus, borganvilla, bananas and Papaya on over an acre of lush tropical landscape. There are BBQ areas and picnic tables and laundry facilities. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens and baths and cable TV.
10% off weekly rates
Cabin's 2,5,6,7,8,9 are hostel style and are $20 per night per person depending on the season. Stay for a week and get the 7th night free.
Bruce,
Let's get in the shaping bay for a 6'5" and 6'10"
The coffee and beer embargo has been re-instated (well it may be lifted briefly over Chrissy)

there`s a good chance that I will be heading west also. I didn`t want to go and live the G/F at home, come to find out that grandma is taking her and her daugter in aug. Without me !!! I don`t feel bad afterall. I don`t know yet when (have to check with some of the Oceanside crew when they will be there).I`ll be bringging 3 boards and not one of them over 5' long. I`m taking apps. for a personal bodygaurd so I don`t get hurt . Maybe a stunt double ?? But if I do go, you will a guy on short black board with a BIG smile on his face having a great time....

I went to Santa Cruz last year...and was only one of two auusies there... so a kind of outsider (though taken under wing so to speak)
Look at the links above,,,is a backpackers with differebt style rooms or houses
Looks like a few of the guys will be there over diferent times of the month
look into it for cheap accomodation
And be staying along with some of the crew
Hope to meet up with you

Thanks Scoop...will do just that. The comment about a body guard or stunt double was meaning surfing on my size boards... I guys I surf with give me a hard time ( all in fun though) about my boards.. Crazy to ride one so short on north shore. Go BIG young man they tell me. Thats most of what i`m looking to get out of the gathering, the fun and comerodery with other KBers.....
